Boxing & Martial Arts

Boxing at Bade Fitness is not cardio kickboxing with a boxing aesthetic. It is proper technical work, guard, footwork, combination development, and pad work with coaches who have competed themselves. For people who want the real thing without the ego that comes with some boxing gyms.

What you get
  • Technical boxing fundamentals, guard, footwork, jab, cross, hook, uppercut
  • Pad work sessions with qualified coaches
  • Heavy bag rounds with coach observation and correction
  • Combination development, building from single shots to 6-count sequences
  • Controlled sparring for those who want it (protective equipment provided)
  • Boxing for fitness track, technical work without sparring, focused on conditioning
  • Self-defence fundamentals drawn from boxing and Muay Thai
  • Monthly technique clinics on specific aspects of boxing craft

Why it works

What you can expect

01

Elite conditioning

Boxing rounds are one of the most effective conditioning tools available. Three minutes of real pad work is harder than most gym sessions.

02

Stress relief

The focus required for technical boxing work clears your head completely. Many members say it is the most effective stress management tool they have found.

03

Real skill

Unlike many fitness classes, boxing produces a transferable skill that you develop and own. You will leave measurably more capable than you arrived.

How it goes

Your first weeks

  1. 01

    Fundamentals class

Every new member starts here. Four sessions covering guard, stance, footwork, and the four basic punches.

  2. 02

    Pad work introduction

Once fundamentals are established, you progress to pad work with a coach, the first real feel of boxing.

  3. 03

    Combination development

Sessions now build combinations: two to six punches linked with footwork and head movement.

  4. 04

    Bag work rounds

Heavy bag work develops power, timing, and the ability to generate combinations independently.

  5. 05

    Sparring (optional)

For members who want to test their skills, controlled, technical, with coaches present throughout. Never mandatory.

Common questions

Good to know

Do I need any prior experience?

No. The fundamentals class is designed for complete beginners. We cover everything from the start.

Is sparring compulsory?

Never. Many of our members train boxing for fitness and technique only and never spar. Both are equally valid.

What equipment do I need?

Boxing gloves and hand wraps. We can lend equipment for your first few sessions while you decide whether to invest in your own.

Is the environment intimidating?

We have deliberately built a different culture from many boxing gyms. Ego does not belong here. The environment is technical, focused, and respectful.

Is it suitable for women?

Yes. Many of our most committed boxing members are women. The skill and conditioning benefits are identical regardless of sex.
